Introduction of a new community media award – “Moses Moyo Award”
The Association of Independent Publishers (AIP), would like to express its dissatisfaction with the decision taken by the South African Editors Forum (SANEF) to name the community media award as the “Moses Moyo Award” without any consultations.
AIP feels this decision was unfairly reached, and our members were supposed to be given an opportunity to nominate people who they think should have been a proper representation of the community media in naming this award.
We therefore, distance ourselves from this awards and none of AIP members will participate. SANEF know of AIP’s existence and its representation, they cannot continue to make decisions on behalf of our members without consulting.
