North West Media Awards Welcomes Lucky Mediwane to the 2024 Judging Panel

Rustenburg, North West — The North West Media Awards is proud to announce the addition of an esteemed industry professional, Lucky Mediwane, to the 2024 judging panel. The awards ceremony will be held on 06 December 2024 at Orion Safari Hotel in Rustenburg.

Lucky Mediwane brings a wealth of experience to the panel. Born and raised in Dwarsberg, a small village within Moses Kotane Municipality, Mr. Mediwane began his education at Kgolane Primary School. He pursued his middle school education at Molefi Secondary, continuing to Batleng High School in Tlhatlaganyane where he completed his matric.

His journey into media began with his studies in journalism at Allenby Campus, a private college in Gauteng, where he obtained a Diploma in Journalism. Since then, Mr. Mediwane has showcased his passion for media, communications, and broadcasting by embarking on a dynamic career in radio. Starting as a radio presenter, he steadily progressed to roles such as Music Compiler/Librarian, Programme Manager, Operations Manager, and ultimately, Station Manager.

Mr. Mediwane’s rich background in radio, combined with international exposure from his visit to the USA, has fueled his commitment to elevating the media, communications, and entertainment landscape in Rustenburg. He currently works as a freelance broadcaster and is the owner of Plectrum Communications (PTY) Ltd, a media company he founded to support local talent and businesses.

His extensive experience and passion for the media industry will bring valuable insight to the North West Media Awards judging panel.
