EAES Condemns Military Shutdown of Independent Media in Uganda
The Eastern Africa Editors Society (EAES) has strongly condemned the military shutdown of leading independent media outlets in Uganda, describing it as a serious attack on press freedom, editorial independence and the public’s right to access information. The organisation has called for the immediate reopening of the affected media houses and urged regional and continental bodies to act in defence of media freedom.
